Cut the RED Tape Project is a multilateral approach to raising awareness on Climate Change, action commitment to Sustainability and calling on political climate action in Paris at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) conference of parties, COP21 later this year. The initiative is an international Collaboration lead and founded by No Planeta B with the Global Issues Network in partnership with several organizations like the Amazon Aid foundation, Green Schools, Climate Mama, Sachamama, iMatter, Our Kid’s Climate and several others to bring voices-to-action using schools, parents & students as agents of change to Act-On-Climate. The project aims to involve schools, students and their parents all over the world demonstrating we need everyone involved to face what has been called the biggest threat for younger generations. By signing the ACT-ON-CLIMATE declaration, schools commit to at least 5 climate change mitigation actions such as implementing reduction strategies and reducing their C02 footprint, going paperless, and/or hosting MEATLESS MONDAYS to name a few. Thus far, schools from over 12 different countries have joined. Parents can also Act-On-Climate by signing their Parent Declaration committing to several actions from home looking to change past detrimental behaviors in pursuit of a more sustainable and healthier future for their children. Cut the RED Tape Project involves students into calling for political action. Students can lead petition rallies in their schools, at home and with their families for their voices to be present at the most important meeting of the planet, the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris, because it is time to Act On Climate & Cut the RED Tape for our youth now.
