Hurricane Maria barreled through and devastated the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Join Project Green Schools Students for Puerto Rico to help create a greener future for Puerto Rico now!
On behalf of the National Green Schools Society and Green Students everywhere, we need your support.
Project Green Schools was preparing to travel to Puerto Rico to present at a major environmental conference led by the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) – the world-wide leader in environmental education – along with their non-profit partner and conference co-chair Para La Naturaleza (PLN). Sadly, that conference was canceled in the wake of the storm.
Months later, many people on the island are still without power, food, clean water and other daily needs being met. No power means that purification systems aren’t working, and that means people are drinking contaminated water – leaving them at risk of all sorts of diseases and epidemics.
On behalf of the National Green Schools Society and Green Students everywhere, we need your support to help the people of Puerto Rico to:
- Regain access to clean water, food, health care, and other basic services.
- Recover and rebuild their homes, offices, and more.
- Restore and rebuild urban forests and other green spaces throughout the island.
