About the Event

Jumping Into a Green New School Year: Student Voices for Climate Action is a flagship virtual event hosted by Project Green Schools in conjunction with Climate Week NYC 2025.

Every September, Climate Week NYC brings together heads of government, corporate executives, innovators in tech and academia, and leaders from civil society. It is one of the world’s most visible platforms for addressing the big challenges of our time: how to stay competitive in a changing world, reduce costs and unlock barriers, and invest in the clean technologies powering the global transition.

Against this backdrop, Project Green Schools elevates the voices of the next generation. This panel convenes members of the National Youth Council, educators, policymakers, and community leaders for a powerful conversation on climate justice, environmental policy, and youth leadership. By centering students during one of the world’s most important weeks for climate dialogue, the event ensures that future leaders are not only included but empowered.
