What We Do
CWI works with diverse and inspiring K-16 teachers and leaders, from schools large and small, across the U.S. and around the globe. Our participants come from rural and urban, independent and public, along with environmental and community based educators. Our professional development opportunities and Institutes provide the ideal opportunity for individual educators or teams to begin or advance projects and programs, within classrooms or across grade levels.
In addition to our national events, we provide site based support for entire schools and organizations, meeting educators where they are. We offer single, multi-day, and longer term professional development experiences and packages. These are customizable and are designed to meet your context and needs. Contact us for more information.
“I just really enjoyed the Institute and definitely recommend it. It was inspiring and gave me hope for the future.”

Since 1995, the Community Works Journal Digital has provided educators with a wealth of innovative thinking and resources. The Journal showcases best educational practices and programs that connect teaching to the community. We believe students also know a thing or two about best practices and we encourage submissions from Project Green Schools members and honorees.
