Chuck Bates is the business administrator for School Administrative Unit #13, serving the school districts of Tamworth, Madison, and Freedom, NH. Prior to this, he taught business for eight years at Inter-Lakes High School. He holds certifications from the New Hampshire Department of Education, as a Business Administrator, Comprehensive Business Educator, and Technology Integrator. Chuck was recognized as New Hampshire’s Business Educator of the Year, receiving his “EDie” (Excellence in Education) Award in 2015. He has served as adjunct faculty for Lakes Region Community College and also sits on the board of directors for New Hampshire Future Business Leaders of America.
Chuck spent 27 years in the high-tech industry. His corporate career culminated as an entrepreneur, as co-founder/VP operations of Telica, Inc., a venture capital-backed telecommunications equipment company. Established in 1998, the company grew to 250 employees and ultimately was sold to Lucent Technologies.
