Caitlin Riordan, a high school senior from Newton, Massachusetts, is thrilled to serve as Outreach Coordinator on the National Youth Council! For several years, she’s worked to further climate action by implementing compost systems, reusable lunchware, and paid green jobs in local schools. Caitlin has also organized three annual sustainability events, recruiting over 15 presenting organizations to inspire hundreds of youth in her community. As a Massachusetts Field Representative at Our Climate, Caitlin has fought for environmental justice legislation, and through her work with Take Action Global, she’s helped educators in 34 countries develop and publish over 40 sustainability and technology-focused lessons. Additionally, Caitlin has enjoyed exploring environmental engineering and policy through several research projects, one of which has been used by nine cities to improve municipal energy aggregation systems. As Outreach Coordinator, Caitlin is excited to foster partnerships, expand PGS membership, and present opportunities for youth to engage in climate activism.
