Mark Swiger is a dedicated educator and sustainability leader with a proven record of national influence in green school initiatives. He has chaired national green school committees for the U.S. Green Building Council and has served on the national stakeholders committee that developed the U.S. Department of Education’s Green Ribbon Schools program.

A recipient of USGBC’s 2014 “Best of Green Schools” National Ambassador Award, Mark brings deep expertise and a passion for cultivating sustainable learning environments. As the founder of Pangaea Strategies LLC, and a former WVU Extension program administrator and AmeriCorps Program Director, he has led transformative projects focused on environmental literacy, workforce development, and community resilience.
