Programming Officer
Nathan is in the class of 2027 at St. Mark’s and is passionate about environmental advocacy and education reform. He leads his school’s environmental science club and volunteers with a local nonprofit focusing on outreach and awareness. He isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty and leads his school’s prairie restoration crew, where he helps restore native Texas plants. Nathan’s primary focus is pushing for systemic changes in local school systems, advocating for mandatory environmental education across all grades and subjects. He believes that providing future generations with a strong environmental understanding is critical to addressing the climate crisis. Nathan has also spoken at nationwide conferences, where he shares his experiences as a student advocate. His public speaking efforts inspire professional and youth audiences, emphasizing the urgency of environmental education as a pathway to action. As the programming officer, he is excited to enhance existing partnerships and create new opportunities for the Youth Council.
