Co-Policy Coordinator
Sarina Virmani, a senior at Riverside High School and the Academies of Loudoun in Virginia, is passionate about environmental education and data center reform. She founded the Sustainable Spark, an organization dedicated to expanding access to climate education and empowering young people to engage in climate advocacy and action. Through the organization, Sarina has led initiatives ranging from publishing a climate advocacy book to building a large-scale paper recycling network with schools and local businesses. She is also working with her local School Board to expand environmental literacy across the county, including efforts to integrate Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences (MWEEs) into every grade level. Beyond youth education, Sarina serves as an Action Team Lead with Citizens’ Climate Lobby and advocates for data center reform in her community. Outside of her environmental work, she enjoys figure skating and listening to history podcasts.
